Loen Smed | Markets and Classes!

Good morning you wonderful people.

This is a short one, not because there’s not much to say, but because I’ve been too busy to write anything down.

I talk a lot about most things over on the podcast I have with Jan and Red, link down below, but for now I’ll leave you with this.

I went to England and Makers Central, met up with a lot of the wonderful people from all over the world, drank a lot of beer, got tossed out of the British Museum because of somethings silly called closing time and then visited my old school Hjerleid to spectate during the National Championship in Blacksmithing.

Great fun was had, memories made and beer was drunk

Now, back to work!

Den Store Hagefesten - Eidsvoll Verk

This weekend I’ll be at a large gardenmarket in Eidsvoll Verk. From 11.00 to 16.00 it’ll be a wonderful place for anyone with a green thumb interest. I’ll be bringing a lot of the usuals; roses, heart hooks and the like, but also a few new things. Various things for all you green friends to climb and lean on, as well as a few exciting things that you’ll have to see in person.

PS. I’ll also be at Norway’s largest medieval fair in Hamar, 10-12th of June, but more on that later.

Blacksmithing Classes

Next class coming up, and it’s the last weekend class before the summer. 4-5th of June and is a knife forging course at Kroloftet, in Oslo. There’s still a couple of spots left, so go get them while they’re hot. Or something to that effect.

Anyone who previously bought a gift card can still use them to attend the classes, simply send me an email if you want to do so. Otherwise, you can sign up at Kroloftet’s site. Or, you know, go through loensmed.no/kurs, I’m happy either way.

We’re planning on having a 3 hour evening class in making your own rose before the summer vacation kicks in. More information is coming, I just need to sit still long enough to remember the things I’ve forgotten. Feel free to pester me about it though
